The genesis of this production started with dance faculty member Jeffrey Peterson, who conceived of including site-specific performance work as part of Gustavus Adolphus College's Sesquicentennial commemorative festivities.

Supported by a Sesquicentennial Mini-grant, award-winning site-specific choreographer Stephan Koplowitz was commissioned to create a series of dances that celebrated Gustavus Adolphus College’s 150th anniversary year. More than 30 student and alumni dancers, the 2011 “A Class” World Champion Govenaires Drum and Bugle Corps from St. Peter, the combined College choirs, and many behind-the-scenes faculty, alumni, and technical staff collaborated on the production.
